Online library services

You can perform many routine tasks such as checking opening times, booking a library computer, browsing our catalogue as well as reserving or renewing books online from any computer - see our 'Useful links' blue box on the right for direct links or log into your library account - or via our new mobile app.Quick Start button

Online Reference Library - providing access to encyclopaedias, dictionaries, newspapers, magazines and other reference works - and our collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks combine to offer your very own virtual library accessible 24/7 from any internet-enabled computer.

Other interactive options include our events calendar and Dawsonera quick faqdirectory of Kent clubs and societies.

Access to commercial databases, eBooks/eAudiobooks, computer booking facility and your library account will require the use of a Kent library ticket number and/or PIN (or prior creation of an account) for out-of-library use. So if you live, work or study in Kent and are not already a member, why not join the library?

Please note: For licensing reasons, if you register online or via our app you will need to confirm your registration in a library before accessing online resources.
