Ask a Kent Librarian
If you need help with research, homework, or a library service, our librarians are here to answer your questions.
You can chat with a librarian in real time or send us your question and wait for the answer. It's a bit like going into a library and asking a question in person, but can be done from your computer or mobile device.
For local and family history enquiries, please remember you can also contact our Local History and Archives services.
This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but Kent librarians are only available Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm (excluding public holidays).
Outside of these hours or during very busy times, your question may be answered by a librarian from somewhere else in the world who is not familiar with the local area and can't access your account details. They may pass your enquiry to local staff if it is about your library loans.
Other ways to get in touch
- email AKL@kent.gov.uk
- call 03000 41 64 38 (9am to 6pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays).
From time to time, we may contact users to get feedback. This is really important to us and helps highlight areas for improvement. If you would rather we didn't call you, please let us know.
