Library computers and wifi
All our libraries have computers with internet access. You can also use our wifi on your own device with your library card and PIN number.
It's free to use the computers and wifi if you are a library member. If you are under 16 you need permission from a parent or carer to use the internet.
If you owe over £5 (including children) of fines or charges you cannot use the computers or wifi.
Book a computer
You can book a computer when you arrive at the library or book in advance to make sure a computer is available when you need it.
Or contact your local library before you visit.
If you don't live in Kent you can get a guest pass to use the computers by showing ID at the reception desk.
You can use the computer for up to 1 hour. If you need more time please ask a member of staff at the start of your session.
Computers are switched off 10 minutes before the library closes.
Wifi printing
You can now print over wifi from your phone, tablet, laptop or PC in our libraries or remotely from home.
Find out about the charges for printing.
Before printing remotely, we recommend you check with your local library to make sure the printer is available. Please note, image files default to portrait setting when printing over wifi.
- Visit the Netloan website from any device with internet access and login with your Kent library card number and PIN.
- Select print a document and upload the file(s) you want to print (up to 5 files can be uploaded at one time, maximum file size is 150 MB per file).
- Wait for confirmation banner.
- Collect your printing from a member of staff at your local library in the usual way (your printing will be held for up to 3 hours).
Internet usage policy
Before using the internet or wifi network in our libraries you must accept our acceptable internet usage policy (PDF, 80.1 KB).
Computer access if you have a disability
All of our computers have accessibility software. This helps people with disabilities to use them. Every library also has access to a range of specialist equipment and at least one computer is suitable for wheelchair users.
You will need to bring your own headphones as our computers don't have speakers.
