Equality and diversity data
The Equality Act 2010 protects people from discrimination under these 9 protected categories:
- gender reassignment
- marriage and civil partnerships
- pregnancy and maternity
- religion and belief
- sexual orientation
Supporting data for 7 of these categories is available here. We are unable to provide information on pregnancy and maternity. There are currently no data sources that provide information on gender reassignment or the number of transgender residents in Kent; however, national statistics can be found on the National LGBT survey.
