Being a member of the library gives you access to over 50 online subscriptions free of charge. When you follow the links below you will be asked for your library card number. For licensing reasons, some of our resources are not available remotely and can only be accessed on computers in particular libraries, therefore no link is given. Ask your local library for more details.
Learn My Way
Step-by-step online basic computer courses: learn to use a keyboard and mouse, create an email account, search the internet and much more (e.g. job hunting and job applications online).
You will need your local library's UK Online centre code to register for the 'Online Basics' modules. Ask your local library for details of our IT support sessions, our volunteers will be glad to assist you.

This resource offers advice on all aspects of looking for and securing a job. It will scan thousands of job boards for you, walk you through finding out the skills you have and help you create great CVs. You can attend expert-led webinars or view bite-sized video guides. If you are claiming unemployment benefits you can also set up MyWorkSearch to keep your Jobcentre Plus advisor informed of your job-search activities.To access the service you need to:
- create a personal account via a library public computer or by calling Ask a Kent Librarian on 03000 41 64 38.
- click the link in your account activation email
- log in with your username and password from any internet-connected computer or device
- log in to your activated account if you already have one.

UCAS is the central organisation that processes applications for full-time undergraduate courses at UK universities and colleges. Search for a course and apply online.
