Coaching and mentoring network
We have embedded a culture of 'manager as coach' within the organisation and as an off-shoot of its success, have formed the South East Coaching & Mentoring Network in partnership with Kent Fire and Rescue.
Where coaching and mentoring inside an organisation may not be a high priority during the current economic climate, the network will really come into its own by providing valuable development and support on a reciprocal basis.
The key to the success of the network is the dedication and professionalism of the coaches.
The network is encouraging a number of private sector organisations to join which will add to the diversity of the coaching pool.
To join the network
Complete the ILM Recognised Certificate in Performance Coaching for Leadership through Kent County Council and receive automatic entry.
Network benefits include:
- corporate membership to the Association for Coaching
- one conference a year featuring key note speakers
- group supervision
- peer supervision
- access to a pool of qualified coach/mentors on a reciprocal basis.
There are more than 200 members from a variety of organisations including Kent County Council, Kent Fire and Rescue, MCCH, district councils, Kent Police, NHS, Kent Probation Service, London borough councils, HM Prison Service, Mid Kent College, Kent schools, KIMS Hospital, Kent Wildlife Trust, Canterbury Christchurch University and East Sussex County Council.
