Know your score quiz, low risk score - video transcript for Leah Coleman

This is the transcript for the video that is part of the results of the know your score quiz.

A short video presentation by Leah Coleman, Team Lead at One You Kent. Leah will tell you your score, and talk about the risks associated with your current level of drinking.

Leah: "Hi. Thank you for taking the time to know your score. According to the questionnaire your results show that you are drinking within a low risk level, which is really good.

As a reminder, one unit is roughly one single measure of spirits, two units is about a standard glass of wine or a regular pint of beer or cider, and three units is a large glass of wine or a stronger pint of beer or cider. This is why it’s really important to have more than two alcohol-free days a week just to keep within the low-risk category and also if you’re finding yourself drinking more than two of the recommended daily units this would be classed as binge drinking.

There are no benefits to binge drinking. All we end up with is the embarrassing photos, the drunken texts or the horrible hangovers, so you need to be really careful with what you’re drinking each day.

Also, when you’re mixing alcohol with medication you need to be really careful because it can be dangerous. It can cause problems if you are driving or if you’re operating machinery, or it can be as simple as making the medication not as effective. So you just need to be a little bit wary and if you are taking medication, it’s best just to not have a drink.

Thank you for taking the time to know your score. If you feel that any of your friends or family would benefit from taking this, then please share the tool."
