If you are an organisation looking to create or improve facilities to increase sports participation or physical exercise in Kent, you may be able to apply for a capital sports grant.

The maximum amount of funding awarded is £10,000, and it can be used to contribute towards:

  • refurbishment or improvement of existing sports facilities, sites or buildings
  • development of new community sports facilities
  • purchase of fixed sports equipment.

What we cannot fund:

  • revenue projects
  • equipment that is moveable and not fixed.
  • personal equipment
  • road vehicles.

Information about other types of sports funding can be found on the Active Kent and Medway website.

To apply, your organisation must:

  • be located within the administrative boundary of Kent County Council
  • be a voluntary sports club, registered charity, limited company school, or parish or town council.
  • not have started the project – we are unable to fund retrospectively.
