STLS Sevenoaks

The Sevenoaks Specialist Teaching and Learning Service (STLS) is based at Valence School in Westerham.

They work alongside our STLS teachers across education settings in Sevenoaks. Their goal is to help settings build their capacity and confidence in identifying children at the right time.

The Sevenoaks STLS specialise supporting education settings in:

  • cognition and learning
  • communication and interaction
  • social, emotional and mental health (SEMH).

To do this they:

  • provide high-quality support
  • develop bespoke training to deliver the Mainstream Core Standards
  • educate secondary school staff about special educational needs students
  • improve outcomes and progress for students
  • make sure schools follow the Graduated Approach
  • share best practice across educational settings.
