Collecting your KCC Travel Saver

Your KCC Travel Saver should be ready for the first day of term if you have applied by 14 July 2019.

You will collect your pass from school. We do not send passes to your home.

Pass not at school

We are aware that some customers who applied by our recommended July deadline and who have opted to pay by Direct Debit instalments still haven’t received their Travel Saver passes. This is due to unforeseen difficulties we have experienced in processing these applications.

We are very sorry about this and we are working hard to make sure students get their passes as soon as possible.

If you have applied for your pass within the past month, it could take up to 28 working days to process your application from the date you applied.

If you have already called or emailed us, we will reply but it could take up to a week to do so while we prioritise getting passes out to schools. We thank you for your patience.

If your child's pass was not at the school as expected, email kcctravelsaver@kent.gov.uk or call 03000 41 84 84 with your child's name, date of birth and school.

Waiting for your pass

Usually a pass will arrive within 3 weeks, but at busy times of the year (such as the start of the new school year) this can take up to 6 weeks.

While you are waiting for your pass you will be responsible for buying a bus ticket. We don't refund fares your child pays whilst waiting for their pass to arrive or provide letters or emails they can show the driver.

However, we have agreed with bus operators that for the first few days of term 1 (week commencing 2 September 2019) children who have applied on time and need to collect their new pass from school should be allowed to travel free of charge.
