Report or track a problem on the road or pavement

If the problem may cause an accident, call us on 03000 41 81 81 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday or on 03000 41 91 91 at all other times.

Information

Some street lights and signs have been cut down as they have failed a structural test. Please do not report them as we are already aware. We hope to replace them within the next 12 weeks.

We’re getting more pothole reports than usual. Inspections and repairs may take longer than normal.

Report a problem online

  • Potholes

    You can report non-urgent potholes to us online.

  • Street lights, bollards or lit signs

    You can report non-urgent street light, bollard or lit sign problems to us online.

  • Drainage or flooding

    Report non-urgent drainage or flooding issues online.

  • Other problems

    Report traffic light faults, damage to bus stops (for example poles or timetables), overgrown vegetation (including hedges and grass) or get information about roadworks.

If you have a problem with:

If you want to improve a junction, change speed limits or request new signs, lines or traffic calming find out what to do.

What we do after you report a problem

Once we assess your enquiry, we will take the appropriate action. We aim to fix:

  • dangerous faults within 2 hours
  • safety hazards within 7 days
  • routine faults such as streetlights, potholes and soft landscape issues within 28 days, unless there is a more serious problem which could take longer
  • traffic signals within 4 hours if they are urgent or within 7 days if less urgent
  • drainage maintenance within 90 days if the enquiry meets intervention requirements
  • drainage investigations of defects or repeated flooding to be inspected within 28 days of referral to an engineer, who will perform a risk assessment to determine whether further work is required
  • all other faults will be scheduled in to our planned maintenance.
