A228 Snodland Bypass phase 1

Location of the works

Closure of the A228 between Ham Hill (Leybourne Lakes) roundabout and Brook Street junction.

Date of works

Tuesday 7 May to Tuesday 14 May (6 nights), 9pm to 5am.

Outside these hours, the road will be open for traffic. No work will take place on the 6 May due to a bank holiday, or at weekends.

Access to your home or business

You may experience some disruption during the works. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, we will try to keep this to a minimum.

If you have any special access arrangements, urgent deliveries or concerns whilst we are working, speak someone on site or call us on 03000 41 81 81.

Snodland resident access

If you live on the west side of the A228 (opposite side to the train station), access to your property is available from both the north (Holborough Road) and south (Malling Road).

For residents living on the east side of the A228 (the same side of the train station), your access will be via Brook Street heading southbound.

You will only be able to exit by heading northbound from Rocfort Road. You must then follow our diversion route to reach the A20 or M20.

Holborough estate resident access

There are no restrictions in place if accessing the estate from a southbound direction.

Train station and Mid Kent Business Park

To access the train station and Mid Kent Business Park, you must travel via Brook Street heading southbound.

You will only be able to exit by heading northbound from Rocfort Road. You must then follow our diversion route to reach the A20 or M20.
