Walking trails

Whether you’re a dog walker, rambler, runner, horse rider, or you just want a walk in some of Kent’s most beautiful countryside, Trosley’s 170 acres of beautiful woodland and chalk downland can be explored via 3 especially waymarked trails.

Events and activities

Trosley Country Park offers an exciting range of events and activities throughout the year that can be enjoyed by all. From natural arts and crafts sessions to countryside walks, seasonal adventures and running events, there is always something happening at your nearest country park.

Let your children play

Trosley Country Park has a fabulous woodland play area that is perfect for children under 11. The Forest Fun playground contains a selection of climbing equipment and slides.

Dog walking

Dog waste bins are available throughout the site.

Livestock will be grazing on the downland. Notices around the park show which field they are grazing in. Dogs must be on leads in the car park, grazing areas and close to the café.

A tap and dog bowl are available for use at the café area.

Horse riding

Experience woodland and chalk grassland terrain along the horse route. This includes a mixture of flat waymarked routes, steep descents and climbs, and incorporates part of the Pilgrim’s Way.

Orienteering

Put those navigation skills to the test by taking on one of our orienteering courses.

Trim trail

Why not get fit on the Trosley trim trail? Found on the yellow-arrowed Trosley Trail, it has 10 exercise stations that are designed to help you keep fit on your walk. These include:

  • monkey bars
  • chin ups
  • a pole climb
  • hurdles.

Outdoor learning

Trosley Country Parks offers an exciting range of environmental education designed to complement classroom activities. With qualified staff and excellent facilities, the park is the perfect place to bring schools and groups to learn more about the natural world.
