We’re always working to improve the SEND Information Hub (local offer) based on your feedback. Whether it’s through surveys, website comments, or in-person events, your views help us make the local offer clearer, easier to use, and more helpful for families and professionals across Kent.

Your feedback in action

We’ve received feedback through different channels. Explore the summary of what we learned from your responses and the improvements we’ve made as a result.

Feedback from our Information Hub Survey

We ran a survey from 2022 to 2025 and received 113 responses, including 11 in 2025.

Finding information

30% of respondents agreed it was easy to find information on the website. 10% said it was difficult to find what they needed.

You said:

The website was not well organised. There were not enough visual elements to support navigation.

We did:

  • Improved the website layout.
  • Introduced clearer navigation
  • Added a search bar to every page.
  • Began exploring additional formats, including videos and featured content through newsletters and social media.

Up-to-date content

45% agreed that the site was up to date. 12% felt the site wasn’t up to date.

You said:

You couldn’t find a specific support organisation offering support on the SEN Education pages of the website.

We did:

We added this and other organisations to our SEND Directory, which lists hundreds of support groups, sports, charities, and activities.

Confidence in the site

56% weren’t confident the site could support families and professionals. 67% of most concerns were about the wider SEND service and not the website. We picked out comments relating to the website and worked on it.

You said:

Contact details were difficult to find and there was no search button on some pages.

We did:

We added a search bar to every page. We updated the Contact the SEND Enquiries Hub page with clearer information.

Positive feedback

You said:

“It’s a great website.”

“Would love to see more success stories.”

"I found local support groups through the Local Offer and discovered services I didn't know about."

"Having information about SEND, Early Help and Social Care in one place is really helpful."

"The website is easy to use, with helpful links to support and parent groups."

We did:

We’re working on adding more real-life stories from families, young people and professionals. We want to make it easier for families to find local services, support groups, activities and information, all in one place.

Feedback from our website feedback form

The 'give website feedback' feature is available at the bottom of every page. Use it to:

  • rate a page as good, average or poor
  • leave a comment explaining your rating.

Between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026, we received 121 feedback ratings. While only a small proportion of visitors leave feedback, the comments help us identify issues and improve the website.

You said

  • Some links were not working.
  • Information could be easier to find.
  • Families were unsure where to get support, including help with EHCP-related enquiries.

We did

  • Fixed reported broken links, often within 24 hours.
  • Continued improving website navigation and page design.
  • Explored new ways to present information, including video content.
  • Signposted families to the SEND Enquiries Hub and IASK for additional advice and support.

Feedback from events

We also collect feedback from families and professionals at:

  • SEND Roadshows
  • Parent Carer Panels
  • Family Hub sessions
  • Parent coffee mornings.

These conversations help us understand how people use the website and identify improvements that would make it more useful and accessible.

Every comment helps us understand what is working well and where improvements are needed. By sharing your feedback, you help us make the SEND Information Hub more useful, accessible and supportive for families, young people and professionals across Kent.
