What happens during an education, health and care needs assessment

The education, health, and care needs assessment (EHCNA) process can take up to 20 weeks.

An assessment does not always lead to an education, health and care (EHC) plan. It will give you more details about what your child needs and the support to help them.

If you are moving to Kent with an EHC plan, follow this guidance.
