Your KCC 16+ Travel Saver

From 31 March, our office will not be manned, we are available to deal with urgent enquiries, but will not have any access to post.

Requests for replacement passes can still be made online or by calling 03000 41 84 84 and we will try to send these to your home address.

With lots of schools closed, many children not travelling and bus services being suspended, we have decided to temporarily suspend applications for passes.

Share the fare with Kent County Council and save up to 50%.

The KCC 16+ Travel Saver can be used from when you receive it until 31 August 2020.

The KCC 16+ Travel Saver is valid at any time of the day and on any day of the year, including evenings, weekends and school holidays. There are no restrictions on the number of journeys that you can make.

Lost, stolen, damaged and found passes

You can order a replacement online if your pass has been lost, stolen or damaged.  All you will need is your child’s details and a credit or debit card to pay the £10 replacement fee.

Order a replacement

Please note that you can have 3 replacement passes per school year.

Alternatively, you can call 03000 41 84 84 to pay by debit or credit card, or pay by cheque or postal order.

Or, to pay by cheque or postal order make it payable to 'Kent County Council' and write your child's name, address and school on the back. Post to Freepost KCC TRAVEL SAVER.

Temporary replacement pass

We will send a temporary pass to your home to use before your new pass arrives.

It can take up to 10 working days to get your temporary replacement pass. You need to pay the fare and we don't refund fares you pay while you're waiting.

We will send the new pass to the school or college.

Behaviour of pass holders

At all times pass holders are expected to follow:

If you do not, your pass may be taken away or you may even be banned from travelling on certain buses. Read the KCC 16+ Travel Saver Terms and Conditions (PDF, 103.3 KB).

If a KCC 16+ Travel Saver is used fraudulently it will be withdrawn and people who make or allow fraudulent travel will be banned from the scheme.

Passes will also be confiscated immediately if the pass holder lives outside Kent and no refund will be offered.
