Highway land refers to any land owned by the highway authority. This can include the council and the Highways Agency.

Highway boundary enquiries

A highway boundary enquiry checks the area that is maintained by the highway authority.

The standard cost is £90 for up to 4 questions. 

Each additional question is £7.

You will need to pay by cheque made payable to: Kent County Council.

When we receive your cheque we will acknowledge your enquiry with a reference number and aim to respond within 20 working days. 

We will supply a written response which includes a coloured plan at a scale of 1:1250 showing the extent of the publicly maintainable highway in the vicinity of your enquiry.
