Ramsgate library

Ramsgate Library, Guildford Lawn, has reopened! Following a
fire in 2004 the building has been fully refurbished, with the
foyer and façade restored to their original glory.
On the ground floor you can choose from a wide range of fiction
as well as titles in large print and audio formats (CD and
cassettes).
A bright and light children's area provides a stimulating
environment and venue for Baby Bounce and Rhyme times. Check the
calendar of events for details. The teen
area offers comfortable seating and a range of fiction. We also
have a selection of the latest DVDs and music CDs which may be
hired at the usual charges.

If you need help our Computer Buddy will get you started on the
basics. The Computer Buddy is at Ramsgate Library on Mondays 9am to
12noon, Wednesdays 2pm to 4pm, Thursdays 10am to 1pm, Fridays 10am
to 1pm and fortnightly on Saturdays 9am to 11am.
On the first floor you
can find non-fiction and reference books, as well as the local
studies collection. It offers books, local newspapers, maps, photos
and other resources to help you trace the history of your family,
locality or house. There you can also find the Phoenix Space: an
area where you can relax, read a paper and have a hot drink. For a
clearer idea of the layout consult our
floorplan (PDF, 130k).
The building now has lifts and public toilets with baby changing
facilities, and rooms are available to hire for meetings and
events. Please contact
