2011/12 Term Dates - UPDATE
The Government has recently announced that changes will be made
in 2012 to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. This will involve
moving the late May Bank Holiday to Monday, 4 June and adding
an extra Bank holiday on Tuesday, 5 June. Kent County Council and
all other local authorities are therefore going to need to consult
on changes to the school term dates for 2011/12 shortly,
which is likely to mean proposals to shift the school holiday back
from the week beginning 28 May 2012 to the following week - week
beginning 4 June 2012.
Consultation will take place as soon as the DCSF confirms that
it has undertaken consultations with the Exam Boards on
rescheduling exam dates and that a decision has been made to make
Regulations to allow the length of the school year to be
reduced by one day for pupils to accommodate the additional Bank
Holiday.
A revised 2011/12 calendar will be published on this page as
soon as consultation on the changes commences.
Exam dates 2010
Most exam dates are not set more than a year in advance, but
they do tend to follow the same pattern every year. Contact your
