Book a slot to visit a Household Waste Recycling Centre

Every small action makes a big difference. Before you throw something away, think:
- can someone else use it?
- can you recycle it?
- could you give it a new life at home?
Your unwanted item could be someone else’s treasure. Why not visit a reuse shop or read our recycling tips!
Ready to recycle? Book your slot
If you can't reuse, repair or recycle your items at home, take them to one of our household waste recycling centres. You can:
- book on the same day you plan to visit
- book up to 2 weeks in advance
- visit as often as you need to
Before booking, check our vehicle restrictions.
Chargeable items
Most household waste can be brought to a recycling centre for free. Some DIY waste is also free of charge for up to 4 visits in 4 weeks. Tyres are the only items we always charge for. Check other charges before you book.
If you cannot access the online booking system, call 03000 41 73 73 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (Text Relay 18001 03000 41 73 73).

Help for non-Kent residents
If you are a non-Kent resident (including Medway) see how we can help you to recycle at one of our centres.
On the day of your visit
To help us recycle as much as possible and keep things running smoothly, please separate your items before you arrive. For example, group together:
- electrical items
- paper
- textiles.
Check what you can and can't recycle to make sure nothing's wasted.
Don’t forget to bring:
- your booking reference (on your phone, a handwritten note or printed)
- your vehicle voucher (if you need it)
- someone with you if you need help to lift items.
