Can’t visit a Kent library? Our free Home Library Service can help you.

It's a fantastic way to discover books you've never read before. As well as books, we can also deliver large print materials, audiobooks, and DVDs too!

The Home Library Service is for those who find it difficult to visit their local library and who are:

  • elderly
  • disabled or have injuries or ill health that limits their mobility
  • caregivers who need support in providing books for those they care for, as well as for themselves
  • expecting a child
  • experiencing mental health challenges.

How it works

Once you’re registered with us, let us know your likes and dislikes. By sharing your reading interests, we can select items tailored to your tastes.

One of our friendly volunteers will then deliver and collect your items to your door on a schedule that works for you.
