We are the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) for the county as per the Flood and Water Management Act 2010. We work closely with other risk management authorities and take the lead in managing local flood risks from surface water, groundwater and ordinary watercourses.

By working together, we can understand flood risks. Through investigations we can understand what measures to take to manage it.

Watch our video to find out how we are increasing Kent's resilience to severe weather and climate change. Also, see how we are working with the Environment Agency to help coastal communities develop their own responses.
