Flooding and drainage
We are the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) for the county as per the Flood and Water Management Act 2010. We work closely with other risk management authorities and take the lead in managing local flood risks from surface water, groundwater and ordinary watercourses. The Environment Agency have created a live flood warning map which is updated with information from their flood warning systems every 15 minutes.
