Types of special educational needs
Every child and young person is unique, and there are many different types of special educational needs. This section explains some of the most common needs and disabilities, including autism, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
You'll find information to help you better understand these needs, explore the support available, and access further advice and services.
