Eligibility and how to apply
Who can apply
To be eligible for transport and to receive travel training, your young person must:
- go to their nearest appropriate school, college or learning provider
- have an education, health and care (EHC) plan
- meet the current eligibility criteria for assisted transport.
If they want to start training before starting a new school or college, you can complete the online application once they have been given their offer of a place.
Email ITT@kent.gov.uk if you are not sure whether they are eligible for the scheme.
Apply
To apply for travel training, one of the following can refer a young person:
- a parent
- a carer
- a social worker
- a school or college staff
- a young person.
After you submit the application, we will get in touch within 7 working days.
