Accommodation and on-site facilities
We can accommodate up to 41 people in total, 36 children and 5 adults. The rooms and shower areas are split between two corridors. View a site map of our accommodation (PDF, 118.5 KB).
The following are available for use by group leaders and teachers:
- Washing and drying facilities for emergencies.
- Cosy lounge area, tea and coffee making facilities and wifi access.
There are plenty of on-site facilities at the Hardelot centre for you to use during your stay:
Outside
- Football, volleyball and boules pitches.
- 8 acres of secure woodland.
- Giant chess board.
- Challenge and low ropes course.
- Open-air theatre.
- Barbecue and picnic tables.
- Bonfire pit.
Inside
- Games room - with table football, snooker, table tennis and more.
- Classroom complete with English and French books and whiteboard.
- Reading or breakout room.
Eating together
The restaurant on site seats up to 41 people.
Meals are a very important part of immersion when coming to France, that is why our aim is to immerse the children during their mealtimes. From dinner on the first day to a packed lunch on the last day for a full board stay.
Programmes of activities
When visiting the Hardelot Centre we can help create a bespoke programme for your group and your interest. Well-loved activities include visit to:
- Nausicaa sea life centre
- a chocolate factory
- a local market to practice the pupils' French with the seller
- a visit to a goat's cheese farm with goat milking
- a ceramic museum with a pottery workshop
- Etaples CWGC war cemetery, the largest commonwealth cemetery in France
- Agincourt interactive museum with an archery workshop
- any of our long sandy beaches
- a snail farm with tasting
- a breadmaking activity.
