Prepare for your trip

Book your travel

You will need to book your own transport. If you need help, contact us.

The address for the centre is: Le centre du Kent, Route de Condette (D119), 62152 Neufchâtel-Hardelot, France.

What to bring

  • A first-aid kit.
  • Insect repellent in the summer.
  • A mobile phone.
  • Wet weather gear and suitable outdoor shoes.
  • Slippers. Guests must take off their shoes in the accommodation block.
  • Some euros as a back up fund (if you need to go to a doctor or chemist, they will need upfront payment).
  • At least one towel per person and your own toiletries.
  • Plug adaptors for electrical devices.

We provide

  • Accommodation.
  • Bedding.
  • French electric wall sockets.
  • Breakfast and dinner. You can order a packed lunch or a buffet lunch in advance of your stay.
  • Use of many facilities on-site.
  • Evening entertainment.
  • A safe for passports and money.
  • A seating area.

We do not provide

  • Pocket money (for trips out).
  • Entrance fees for excursions and activities. Some activities do not ask for entrance fees, such as markets and the beach.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Cost of travel to and from Hardelot, including during your stay.

Your responsibilities

As group leaders or teachers, you are:

  • responsible for any disciplinary problems.
  • responsible for administering any medication to pupils. You must let us know if any pupils have severe medical problems in advance. Or other issues that we need to know about.
  • to respect the site and facilities. You must make sure to keep things tidy. Use bins, and always return and organise equipment after you’re done. Always return classrooms to how you found them. As well as making and stripping the beds (linen provided).

Arrivals and departures

  • Arrival time is around 4pm.
  • If you need to arrive early, contact us. You may need to leave your luggage in a communal area until the accommodation is ready.
  • Check-out is at 10am on the day of departure.
  • Coaches can park at the gate. You’ll need to walk about 700 metres to your accommodation. We recommend that suitcases have with wheels.
