Tell Us Once

When someone dies you will need to report the death to many organisations and government departments.

In Kent and Bexley the Tell Us Once service makes this process easier. You only need to provide the details to the Department for Work and Pensions once, and they will notify the organisations who need to know.

How does it work?

When you make your appointment to register a death the Tell Us Once service will be explained to you.

At registration, the registrar will add the details of the deceased to the Tell Us Once national database. Once the details have been added to the database, the full Tell Us Once process can be completed.

At registration, the registrar will give you a unique reference number to log in.
