Our timescales are up to:

Payments and refunds

If we approve your application, we will ask for the £10 application payment. The quickest way to pay is by card. You can pay online via the Blue Badge Application Portal.

Applied by post and did not give us an email? Don't worry, we will send you a letter instead with instructions. This will delay us sending out your badge.

If we refuse your application, we will refund your £10 within 6 working days.

Be aware of Blue Badge scam websites. They will charge you more than £10 for an application. We will not accept any applications from them.

Track your application

Processing your application can take up to 4 months. There may be a delay in your application if:

  • you did not include all the required documents
  • you saved your online application instead of fully submitting it
  • we have asked you to upload more documents.

If you still need to upload the right documents, we'll put on hold. You have 28 days to get back to us. After that, we'll close your application if we haven't heard from you.
