Track and pay for your Blue Badge application
Current timescales
Applications:
- being assessed by our team - up to 4 months.
- who meet the automatic eligibility criteria - 4 weeks.
Our Blue Badge Application Portal allows you to:
- track your application status
- pay for your badge
- upload additional documentation.
Log in with your 8 digit application reference number from your confirmation email.

If you don't know your application reference number you can request it online.
Payments and refunds
If your application is approved, we will ask for the £10 application payment, if you have not already made a payment at the time of application. The quickest way to pay is by card. You can pay online via the Blue Badge Application Portal.
Applied by post and did not give us an email address? Don't worry, we will send you a letter instead with instructions. This will however delay your badge being issued.
If your application is refused, your payment will be refunded (if paid) within 6 working days of the decision not to award.
Be aware of Blue Badge scam websites where you may be charged more than £10 for an application. They are not part of our service and we do not accept any applications from them.
Track your application
Processing your application can take up to 4 months. There may be a delay in your application if:
- you did not include all the required documents
- you saved your online application instead of fully submitting it
- we have asked you to upload additional documents.
If you still need to upload the right documents, we'll put on hold. You have 28 days to get back to us. After that, we'll close your application if we haven't heard from you.
After 4 months
If it's been over 4 months since you submitted your application and you haven't heard from us, complete the Blue Badge enquiry form, and a member of our team will be in touch.
