We assess applications against national guidance.

We take into account all conditions that affect someone's mobility when assessing applications. Remember, not all disabilities are visible. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it is not there.

All Blue Badge holders must:

  • have a valid Blue Badge
  • never give a badge to friends or family when you're not travelling with them
  • show their badge properly.

Read more about what you must do with your Blue Badge.

Report to your local Parking Enforcement Team

If you believe that a Blue Badge is:

  • not showing correctly (including changing the clock for parking)
  • still in use and is past it's expiry date
  • in use without the badge holder being in the car.

Contact your local council.

Report to us

If you believe someone else is using a Blue Badge because they:

  • may not be able to get a Blue Badge
  • are using a deceased person's Blue Badge
  • have applied for a Blue Badge on behalf of another who is not benefitting from the Blue Badge
  • have altered or copied a Blue Badge.

Report this misuse to us.

Disabled parking bays

Any Blue Badge holder can use a disabled parking bay. Their badge must always be on display and valid. No one has exclusive rights to specific bays. This includes whether you have applied for one.

Contact your local council if:

  • someone is parking in a disabled parking pay without a valid Blue Badge
  • you want to apply for a disabled parking bay outside your home
  • you want to find your nearest disabled parking bay
  • you have any other parking enquiries.

Visit GOV.UK website to see where you can and cannot park. As well as places you should check before parking.
