Moving traffic enforcement exemption form
Our moving traffic enforcement (MTE) team operates an exemption list at each of our sites. We will only approve an exemption if the application is related to a business need.
An exemption form should be completed and submitted at least 48 hours before the required exemption date.
If there is an emergency and you are unable to give prior notice, contact the team at mtepermits@kent.gov.uk giving full details of the:
- reason
- date
- time
- vehicle registration
- make of vehicle
- colour of vehicle.
Once your application is approved, the Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) will be entered onto the system. Our cameras will then ‘ignore’ those vehicles for the period the exemption applies.
At most, exemptions can apply for up to a year. If you require a longer exemption, you will need to re-apply. We do not send reminders so please keep a note to submit a new application form 48 hours before the expiration date.
You can submit one application for up to 15 vehicles.
