Library cards

To replace a lost or damaged card, please bring proof of your name and address to one of our libraries.

We charge £2 to replace a lost or damaged adult library card and £1 to replace a lost or damaged children’s library card.

Library books and items

If you lose or damage a library item, you may be asked to pay the cost to replace it (we can't accept customer-provided replacements). The replacement cost is based on the bookseller's retail value, to make sure we can maintain our collection. If you've lost or damaged a library item, speak to a member of staff in your local library.
