Connect to Work is a supported employment programme that partners with businesses to provide ongoing cost-free support around recruitment, retention and inclusion. It is funded by UK government.
Our support is tailored around what your business needs, whether that’s helping you find new staff to fulfil a vacancy, or help for existing employees who may be struggling at work due to their health or personal challenges.
How Connect to Work can support your business
Connect to Work can support your business in the following ways:
Vacancy planning
- Advice on inclusive, accessible job descriptions and interviews.
- Work with HR and existing processes to add value and reach candidates who might not apply.
- Advice on reasonable adjustments.
- Identify key skills, strengths, attributes needed for your role.
Recruitment
- Pre-screened, motivated participants matched to your vacancies will be identified from our caseloads.
- Arrange pre interview meetings, trials, site visits and or other ways to meet our participants that works for you.
- In-person support, including visiting your workplace and attending alongside the participant at interview if requested.
Pre-start and onboarding
- In-person support throughout the journey, including at interview, induction, first day/week, and probation reviews.
- Tailor inductions, training, onboarding and provide tools such as Autism Communication Passports to enable smooth transition into work.
- Provide ‘on the job’ coaching for your new employee to make sure they’re learning at pace.
- Advice on reasonable adjustments, wellbeing tools, or other accessibility or inclusivity resources
- Ongoing in person and virtual check-ins for both you and your employee to enable clear communication and resolve any issues along the way.
