Forest School programme
Our Forest School programme fires imaginations and inspires confidence and is a great way to enrich teaching the curriculum through woodland adventure.
Forest School in Kent Country Parks
With a focus on building self-esteem, independence and exploration, our experienced education rangers can accommodate the individual needs of your group.
Our activities can be used as a single session to complement traditional subjects or as a stand-alone unit where groups can visit for a number of weeks. Each programme is unique, tailored to the needs of your group of children and run by fully qualified level 3 practitioners. Key areas of development include:
- social
- physical
- intellectual
- language and linguistics
- emotional
- self-confidence.
National Curriculum programmes of study are met and themes can be defined prior to sessions.
This programme runs over 6 sessions, with a maximum of 15 pupils per session. We also provide one off 2 hour sessions.
Our Seedlings Forest School programme has been specifically designed for early years children. It includes sensory, bushcraft and play-based activities and games and songs, all of which encourage the children to build relationships and self esteem.
Curriculum
The early years programme covers the 6 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Primary school children thrive in a woodland setting, as they are still young enough to enjoy games and stories while also being able to develop practical skills and take on a greater level of responsibility.
Curriculum links
