Children and young people with autism spectrum condition (ASC), including Asperger's Syndrome and autism, are likely to have particular difficulties with social interaction. They may also experience difficulties with language, communication and imagination, which can impact on how they relate to others.

To be considered for a specialist resource provision (SRP) support, your child or young person must have an education health and care (EHC) plan. During the EHC needs assessment, evidence must be provided that without a high level of ongoing, flexible specialist support, they will find it difficult or not be able to participate in activities or learning in a mainstream school.

Broad area of need category as referenced on your child's education, health and care (EHC) plan: communication and interaction
