Together with professionals who work with special educational needs and disabled (SEND) children and young people, we've been improving our:

  • SEND Information Hub webpages
  • newsletter
  • engagement with families.

To do this we work with a number of different services, charities and external partners .

Kent Partnership Board

The Kent Partnership Board champions inclusion and improvement outcomes for SEND children and young people. It brings together highly skilled individuals with different backgrounds within:

  • health
  • SEND
  • education.

They are committed to transparency, co-production and service improvement. They want to help improve the system for children, families, professionals and schools in Kent.

To do this, they aim to:

  • collaborate across Kent to support inclusive education and lifelong opportunities
  • listen, support and act for every child and young person with SEND in Kent
  • empower families, educators, and services to shape a better future for SEND families
  • create an inclusive Kent, one voice, one vision for every child.

We work closely with Kent PACT and NHS Kent and Medway to support parent engagement. To learn more about these partnerships, read the Memorandum of Understanding.
