Pay a school penalty notice

If your child misses school without a good reason, the headteacher can ask us to issue you with a penalty notice.

Anyone who is a parent of the child (as defined by the Education Act 1996) will receive a penalty notice for £60, which rises to £120 if you do not pay within 21 days. Find out who is defined as a parent on GOV.UK.

If you do not pay the penalty after 28 days you may be prosecuted.
