Our directory allows you to select different categories to find settings that are open outside of term time. If you have any difficulties in finding a childcare place call or email us.

Top tips for looking for childcare providers
Start looking early, before your child actually needs childcare. Remember, don't feel under pressure to agree to the first childcare provider you find. Take your time, speak to more than one provider and make a shortlist. You may not always one that meets all your needs, but it's important to find the best fit you can.
Once you have found your childcare provider:
- contact them and ask if they have available places
- arrange a visit to see them
- take a list of questions to ask
- read their latest Ofsted inspection.
Once you've made your decision, there should be a formal contract for you to sign confirming what you've agreed.
Free childcare is available from 9 months to 4-year-olds. Find out more about childcare funding from the help with childcare costs page.
If you are looking for out of school childcare you may like to read the Wraparound holiday and childcare guidance. The Department for Education issues this to schools.
