Online Safety for 7 to 11 Year Olds
About the course
Help your child stay safe online. Don’t just ban one technology or platform. Help your child learn the skills and values they need as technology changes.
Children taking this course will learn:
- how to spot risks
- how to make better choices
- when to ask an adult for help.
Get all the joy, learning and community online. But understand how to stay safe at the same time. A trained Family Hub worker will guide the group through topics like:
- what feels safe and how to say ‘no’
- sharing information and pictures
- kindness, healthy friendships and bullying
- spotting what is fake or real
- staying safe when gaming
- balancing screen time with other activities.
Course length
6 weeks of 1-hour sessions.
