Kent Design Guide
The Kent Design Initiative aims to create a showcase of great buildings, memorable and attractive new places that reinforce Kent's distinctive character.
The Kent Design Initiative is a partnership consisting of:
- Kent's local authorities
- professional organisations
- academic bodies
- developers
- builders
- communities
- interest groups.
These groups have joined forces to campaign for good design in Kent.
To help achieve this we have produced a the Kent Design Guide.
The guide is offered to all Kent's local authorities for formal adoption. The document is expected to be used as a Supplementary Planning Document attached to either the Local Development Framework or the Local Plan.
Contact your district council to find out what status the guide has at the local level.
If you would like to comment about the guide or provide feedback to help us improve future documentation call 03000 41 81 81.
Making it Happen includes supplementary information for the Kent Design Guide.
