Lead local flood authority interim position

Whilst our Drainage and Planning Policy Statement is largely still relevant, available on request by emailing suds@kent.gov.uk. Until updated, all applicants submitting drainage strategies to reflect these latest national standards within their drainage strategies. Any existing local plan policies should also be referenced within submissions.

Much of our existing guidance is compatible with the principles of the new standards. We will be working to update our policy statement in the coming months to reflect the new standards. Where appropriate, we will provide guidance around them to assist applicants with their submissions.
