2020 to 2021 accounts

Under the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 the commencement period for the exercise of public rights to inspect the accounts and related documents should include the first 10 working days of June and our inspection dates would have been between 1 June and 12 July 2021.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has put in place revised regulations that came into force on 31 March 2021. The Accounts and Audit (Amendment) Regulations 2021 amends the draft accounts’ deadline, public inspection period and extends the statutory audit deadlines for 2020 to 2021.

Inspection period for 2020 to 2021 accounts

Any interested person may inspect and copy the accounts and related documents of this body by appointment between the hours of 10am and 4pm on weekdays between 1 July and 11 August 2021.

Any elector for the area of the Kent County Council may question the auditor about the 2020 to 2021 accounts or make an objection on any matter in respect of which the auditor could take action as set out in sections 26 and 27 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014.
