Trade union access requests

This page is for trade unions who wish to find out more about The Trade Unions (Rights to Access Workplaces) Regulations 2026.

Request formal access

If you are a trade union and you want to request formal access to our workplaces, or need information to support your request, you must complete the Trade Union Access Request form.

Before sending a request, you may find it helpful to read our current Trade Union information. This can be found by reading section E of the Kent Scheme Terms and Conditions (PDF, 1.1 MB).

Already completed the Trade Union Access Request Template

If you have completed the Trade Union Access Request Template from the Code of Practice: Right of trade unions to access workplaces, email the completed template to TUaccessrequest@kent.gov.uk.

You must include a copy of your Certificate of Independence with the email.
