Training for social care professionals

We offer training and development for adult social care professionals and partners on the following subjects:

Our Care Act e-learning programme will help you understand the basic principles, objectives and key concepts of the new legislation as well as introducing you to the policies, regulations, guidance and our responsibilities as a local authority. You don't need a login to take part in this programme.

We offer the following levels of safeguarding adults training:

Level A (foundation training) – PVI sector

Level A (foundation training) is provided principally for KCC and private, voluntary and independent staff (PVI).

Safeguarding training review

The multi-agency safeguarding adults training programme provided to multi-agency partners is being reviewed by the Kent and Medway Safeguarding Adults Board. An exciting new training offer is being developed to replace it. We expect the new training courses will start in the spring 2020.
