Paying for non-residential care
These are the sort of care services (other than residential care homes) that cost money:
- personal care workers and assistants
- most day care services
- support in the community
- sharing a home (shared lives)
- meal delivery services
- extra-care housing and support
If we find you need services like these we can give you a financial assessment to see how much you can pay, if anything, towards their cost.
Our charging for care in your own home and support in the community booklet (PDF, 469.3 KB) will help you understand in more detail how we work out what you can pay.
