Director - Adult Social Care and Health Operations role details

Kent County Council’s Adult Social Care and Health directorate is looking for a Director of Operations to join our strategic leadership team.  This is a key role within the directorate’s new operating model and will be pivotal in enabling us to meet our commitment of securing high-quality services for our residents and supporting choices for people to live independently in our local communities.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who has the energy, ideas and ambition to make a sustained difference to the people of Kent; someone who shares our commitment to improving the quality of life of our most vulnerable residents.

This is a senior leadership post and you will be responsible for strategic leadership, operational delivery and leading on commissioning requirements, at a time of both unprecedented change and financial restrictions as well as increasing demand for services.

You will have significant experience of managing a complex social care and health front line service within a local authority or health setting. You will understand how operations, commissioning and partners need to work together to deliver sustainable services. Working closely with health partners and other organisations at a strategic level, you will be pivotal in enabling us to deliver our strategic outcomes.

If you have the passion, vision and ambition that we need to drive us forward, we would like to hear from you.
