Physical health and disabilities
It is important to exercise and take part in physical activity daily if you can. Busy lives and being in lockdown means many of us are less active than usual. Regular exercise not only improves your physical health but also increases the release of feel good chemicals known as endorphins in the brain. This can help your energy levels and can put you in a happier mood.
There are many services and support groups available that can help with a wide range of physical activities and disabilities.
Gyms and leisure centres provided by the local authority may have times during the week restricted to those with additional needs. Contact your local gym or leisure centre to find out what they offer.
