Reconnecting children and young people with economic wellbeing

One of the priorities for the Reconnect programme was to work with businesses and partner agencies to support young people to engage with future employment opportunities including access to careers, jobs and training.

Reconnect funded a series of projects to support this priority, some of which are showcased below.

A Kickstart into teaching

Reconnect and the Jobcentre's Kickstart programme offered young people the chance to work in a school for 6 months.
Encouraging young people to earn, save and learn

Reconnect and My Pocket Skill encouraged young people to use their skills to earn and save money and learn about managing their finances.
