Free bus travel for young people and families
If you live in Kent and have children that are 11 years old or younger, or you're between 11 and 18 years old, you can travel by bus for free this summer as part of the Reconnect programme.
Getting your bus pass
If you're between 11 and 18 years old, you should have received a bus pass from your school or college before the end of the summer term. If you didn't, you can pick up a bus pass from a collection point.
Family bus passes (for up to 4 people; 1 adult and 3 children aged 11 or under, or 2 adults and 2 children aged 11 or under) are also available from any collection point.
Using your bus pass
Once you get your bus pass, you’ll be able to use it as many times as you like between 22 July and 31 August 2021.
The pass is valid in Kent on the following buses:
- Farleigh Coaches
- Go Coach
- Hams Travel
- Kent Coach Tours
- R&J Coaches
- Regent Coaches
- Starline Coaches.
You cannot use it for services that start in or operate in Medway, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey or the Transport for London area.
You must show your bus pass to the driver when getting on the bus and you must keep the pass with you at all times.
This offer has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Kent’s bus operators.
Lost bus passes
If you lose your Reconnect bus pass, please visit a collection point, where replacement passes will be available.
You'll be able to collect Reconnect bus passes from the following libraries and children’s centres:
