Vow renewal

Following the government’s announcement on 23 March, all ceremonies due to take place during the 3 week national lockdown period have been cancelled. We are also cancelling all notice of marriage and civil partnership appointments during the lockdown.

We appreciate this is a very stressful time and hope to help all our customers as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Check our service updates page for the latest information and guidance.

A vow renewal ceremony is for couples, who are married or in a civil partnership, to celebrate their time together and to confirm their commitment to each other.

Married couples or couples in a civil partnership can renew their vows at any time.

Organise a vow renewal ceremony

A vow renewal ceremony can be as formal or informal as you want and is unique to the couple.

A Kentish Ceremony can help you arrange the special ceremony and can provide a celebrant trained by Kent County Council to lead the celebration. You will need to provide a copy of your original marriage certificate.
